Apple TV controls shortcuts
Shortcuts for managing playback of currently-active media on an Apple TV.
Use these shortcuts in the Shortcuts widget or via Siri on HomePod to control what’s playing on your Apple TV.
Start/stop the current show, adjust skip times according to your preferences, and pause as needed and turn on your smart lights in other rooms for quick breaks.

Resume on the TV
For the specified Apple TV, resumes playing the currently-active program.
Snack break
Pauses the specified Apple TV, then turns on the lights in the kitchen as well so I can grab a snack.
Bathroom break
Starts off by waking up the TV, setting it to my account and my preferences, and then presents a menu for taking advantage of all the Apple TV remote actions available in Shortcuts, including:
• activating the Screensaver
• the Up Next queue in the TV app
• turning subtitles on or off
• recreating the “What did they just say?” feature and other Skip controls
• opening a specific app
• showing the Remote on the current device
• sleeping the TV
Dishes break
