Comments

This action makes it possible to replicate the “What did they just say?” functionality of Siri on Apple TV, where it skips back 15 seconds and turns on subtitles.

There’s also creative opportunities with using specific timing for specific shows you’re watching – try setting up a Choose From Menu with different show options, then time out the “Skip Intro” duration and use this action multiple times for each show.

Works well for TV Shows purchased with iTunes, where there’s no Skip Intro feature.

Or, try this with movies – get creative by “bookmarking” good moments in your favorite films.

For bonus points, set up a shortcut for the “Start [movie] [x minutes] before midnight on New Year’s Eve” idea and use your Apple TV for a NYE countdown.
