Split PDF is another functionality new to Shortcuts that’s commonly used in Automator, letting one document turn into a list of pages that can be programmatically interacted with via actions like Get Item From List.
This allows for very specific scraping of data or recombining of pages inside a PDF, solving a whole set of needs for PDF users – this is a great tool in the PDF toolbox.
