New in the Shortcuts Library: Apple TV Apps shortcuts
While updating my Apple TV Remote shortcuts for multiple devices, I cleaned up my Apple TV apps and built out a new set of shortcuts to open them all.
Opens the App Store app on the Apple TV so you can browse new apps.
Opens the MasterClass app for Apple TV so you can browse or continue watching a lesson.
Opens the app Wordy for Apple TV that displays the time in an abstract text style, like “Quarter to twelve” rather than actual numbers.
Opens Twitch on the TV of your choice, showing the Remote after so you can select a channel.
Opens the YouTube app on a selected Apple TV, then shows the Remote so you can select a video.
Activates sound recognition for smoke alarms, cats or dogs, appliances, door bells, knocking, glass reaking, kettles, and water running.
Asks for input, extracts the archive, and asks you where to save the new files.
Asks for text, then converts it to the NATO Alphabet to read out “Apple” like “Alfa Papa Papa Lima Echo.”
Opens the Books app, then prompts you to confirm setting orientation lock so the screen doesn’t rotate. When run from Mac, opens the app in fullscreen.
Opens the URL for the AI Video Generator in Meta AI, where you can create, remix, and share AI videos. Capabilities listed include “Create custom animations,” “Edit images,” “Extend videos,” “Get more done,” “View your creations,” and “Restyle and edit.”
Asks you to enter a query, then activates Spotlight search and shows results.
