iOS Feature: Add to Home Screen
On iOS and iPadOS, users have always been able to take any webpage and use Add to Home Screen to make a custom app-like icon that launches that site again.
With Shortcuts (and Workflow before it), users can take a shortcut and use Add to Home Screen to place the shortcut icon (or a custom icon) on their screen, acting like a launcher for that shortcut.
With the release of iOS 14 and beyond, the technique of using Shortcuts to replace app icons with custom app launcher shortcuts became very popular – use this to create your own “Theme” on your device.
