New in the Shortcuts Library: Apple TV Apps shortcuts
While updating my Apple TV Remote shortcuts for multiple devices, I cleaned up my Apple TV apps and built out a new set of shortcuts to open them all.
Opens the app Wordy for Apple TV that displays the time in an abstract text style, like “Quarter to twelve” rather than actual numbers.
Opens the App Store app on the Apple TV so you can browse new apps.
Opens the app Play for YouTube on an Apple TV of your choice so you can select videos you’ve saved for later to open in the YouTube app.
Opens Twitch on the TV of your choice, showing the Remote after so you can select a channel.
Opens the SpeedTest app for Apple TV which lets you check your internet’s upload and download speeds.
Opens the tvClock app for Apple TV that shows the time in a large flip-style format.
Presents a menu of MacStories shows, then plays the next episode from the selected show based on the preselected custom sort order (or default order from the Podcasts app).
Gets the contents of the Pages folder in iCloud Drive, presents the options, and opens your document of choice.
Opens the Apple Developer app for Apple TV so you can view bookmarks, browse presentations, and search for topics. When run from Mac, maximizes the window to Full Screen.
Looks at the Health app for total steps and distance for today, then formats the information to display in an alert or be spoken back from Siri.
Shows the Mentions-only tab in Ivory with replies to your Mastodon posts.
Opens Movetodon.org so you can find your Twitter following on Mastodon.
